The hunt is on for Denver’s best chicken Caesar wrap! “The craze was totally not what I was expecting,” says Emma Hughes, aka @emmajeancocoa on TikTok and Instagram. Last month, Hughes’ boyfriend encouraged her to post a video she’d recorded on a whim while eating a chicken Caesar wrap from an outpost of the Mad Greens chain during a lunch break from work. She did, and the video went viral.

Meanwhile, followers kept suggesting other spots for Hughes to try a chicken Caesar wrap. To date, Hughes has posted nine chicken Caesar videos — all wraps, except her latest, the chicken Caesar sandwich from Mead Street Provisions. AndWestword published its own Instagram report on Hughes’s mission.

In their comments on that Instagram and the Westword Facebook post of the quest, readers serve up their own suggestions — try the Walnut Room, Old Town Tavern, and make Leven serve chicken Caesar wraps all year — as well as thoughts on Denver dining in general. Says Sarah:

How early 2000s of you!

Responds Robert:

Right? People in here using the word “amazing” to describe a chicken wrap is downright hilarious. Chicken Caesar wrap is the perfect representation of the Denver food scene. So on the nose that it seems like satire.

Adds John:

Viral!? I thought a chicken Caesar wrap was about as basic b***h as you could get. Aim higher, Denver!

This is the best thing that’s ever happened to Denver. More Caesar wraps!

Suggests Sarah:

Um, chicken Caesar wraps aren’t a new invention?? You can literally make this at home with little effort.

Responds Tom:

The chicken wars really went downhill.

Notes Kyle:

This is marketing. Wraps are a disgusting relic of 2005. Leave them there. This is just embarrassing to read.

Concludes Joey:

You think this is news?!?
