Raj Chohan is a pro. While working — hard — as a reporter at CBS4, he was also attending law school. When he became a full-time lawyer, it was definitely a loss to journalism — but at least viewers got to watch him every Friday, as the host of Colorado Inside Out, Colorado Public Television’s public-affairs show.
He was the third host in Colorado Inside Out‘s twenty-year history, following Ken Hamblin and then Peter Boyles; Chohan joined the lineup on August 31, 2007.
And next week will be his last show: He’s accepted a position with the Weld County District Attorney’s office. He’ll make a hell of a prosecutor (behave yourself when in Weld County!), but I’ll miss sitting next to him every Friday, when he was not only an affable, professional host — but often the most insightful commentator at the table.
The show will go on, of course; a very talented crew produces Colorado Inside Out, and they’ll soon fill that chair. But Raj Chohan will be a very tough act to follow.
