, the legendary former tenant at 2449 Larimer Street, but an occupant has signed on for the address that once held one of the town's best Mexican (yes, Mexican) restaurants:
Amerigo Delicatus Restaurant & Market is going into the spot.

It will have a much more upscale neighbor than the salon and auto-repair spot that once held down this triangular sliver of land off Broadway. Billy's Gourmet Hot Dogs already occupies the other half of the much-renovated building, at 2445 Larimer.
Amerigo's managers, Iain and Michael Chisholm, have a date with the Denver Department of Excise and Licenses on June 7 for a liquor license.
Although the food planned at Amerigo -- including handmade delicacies -- sounds a lot more upscale than what was served at the Hut, plenty of alcohol once flowed through this space.
