Pam and Charlie Nathan, proprietors of the Blue Cow in Morrison, have added a pop-art installation right above the entrance to their building: a blue spotted cow driving through Red Rocks. "Over the summer, we wanted to put something decorative on the roof to go along with our artwork that we have," Charlie Nathan explains. Morrison regulars are already well-acquainted with the mural next door to the Blue Cow -- featuring colorful figures from local history -- and the owners decided to add a piece in keeping with the Red Rocks theme.

"Everybody loves it," Nathan says of the new artwork. "There's a lot of good things going on in Morrison, and along the Lariat Loop. There's just a lot of positive things going on, and I just want to follow suit and keep things fresh."

The Blue Cow is located at 316 Bear Creek Avenue in Morrison; call 303-697-5721.
