Second Home, like Kachina Southwestern Grill and Corner Office, is part of the Denver-based Sage Restaurant Group. Here's the word from Peter Karpinski, co-founder and COO:
Recently, Sage Restaurant Group had the opportunity to work with Food Network's chef and host Anne Burrell of the show Chef Wanted to help us find our next executive chef for Second Home Kitchen + Bar, in Denver's Cherry Creek. As many of you know, we recently promoted Jeff Bolton to Kachina Southwestern Grill in Westminster, and found ourselves with an opportunity to take an already thriving business to the next level. Before Bolton moved on to Kachina Southwestern Grill, Patrick Hartnett was the exec chef there; he left not long after Gretchen Kurtz reviewed the restaurant, whose menu promised "a magical trip through the Southwest." It didn't deliver.Chef Anne, along with myself and Michael Carr-Turnbough, put four candidates through the toughest job interview of their lives, testing everything from their culinary mettle to business acumen. It all ends with the biggest test of all; running the restaurant. Who will make dinner service the most profitable and delicious, landing their dream job as Second Home's new executive chef?
To see who won the title of executive chef, please join us and tune in for the upcoming premiere of Chef Wanted with Anne Burrell, featuring Sage Restaurant Group's Second Home Kitchen + Bar on Thursday, October 10 at 8 p.m. MST.
Hartnett is now in the kitchens at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. And who will land at Second Home next? Watch Chef Wanted to find out.
