Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.
Give a final farewell to the former Nathan's Funtastic Fun at 3085 South Broadway. The one-time indoor amusement park in Englewood is slated to become a 4,580 square-foot Chick-Fil-A quick-service restaurant with drive-thru and outdoor seating -- and that means the existing building will be demolished. If that ball room could talk! See also: Third-worst restaurant in America is in Denver -- and it's not Casa Bonita
Two single family homes along South Acoma Street would be removed to make room for parking and access; the plans are currently being considered by Englewood's Planning and Zoning Committee.
Funtastic Fun eventually morphed into Lollipop Park; the original location on South Broadway closed in spring 201, but a Lollipop Park is still open in Aurora at 6901 South Peoria Street.
