Friday, February 21

Throughout February, all 34 Colorado Panera Bread locations will donate 25 cents from the sale of each soup in a bread bowl to Porter Hospice and St. Anthony Hospice as part of the chain's involvement in Soup for the Soul. This is the seventh year that Panera has supported the fundraiser; so far, it's raised more than $28,000 through the campaign.

Saturday, February 22

Denver Restaurant Week begins today and hundreds of restaurants will be serving up multi-course meals for the tasty price of $60 for two or $30 per solo diner. Check the Visit Denver website for a complete listing of participating restaurants and their menus. DRW runs through next Friday, February 28.

Three of your favorite vices will be on tap at Denver Beer Co today at the third annual Beer, Bacon, and Coffee Fest. Those lucky enough to have tickets will receive a breakfast burrito from Chile Billy, coffee from Coda Coffee, all-you-can-eat bacon from Denver Bacon Co. and a souvenir mug to fill with all the "breakfast inspired" brews you can drink from Denver Beer Co. Tickets are $32, and the fun will flow from 9 a.m. to noon at Denver Beer Co, 1695 Platte street.

Sunday, February 23

Bring your chili, your appetite or both to the twentieth annual chili cook off benefiting Maxfund Animal Adoption Center. Prizes will be awarded for the best chili in five categories: green, red, white, vegetarian, celebrity chef (TV personalities, radio personalities or restaurant chefs) and best overall chili. To enter your chili or to be a taster and judge, visit the Maxfund website Tickets for tasters are $10 in advance or $15 at the door; it costs $30 to put your chili to the test. The competition will be heating up starting at 1 p.m. at the Celtic Tavern/Delaney's Bar at 1801 Blake Street.
