Preparing to cook or host a Thanksgiving feast is no small feat. If you're dining at home, let the pros take care of some — or all — of the meal with our list of to-go options from many of the top eateries in town.

But if you're ready to fully let go of the holiday planning and enjoy a meal out instead, metro-area eateries have you covered.

Here are the Denver restaurants that will be open and serving special menus on November 28:

Ajax Downtown

Ajax Downtown, sister concept to one of the best après-ski spots in Aspen, will host a special three-course meal from noon to 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving day. Priced at $115 per adult and $35 per child under twelve, the menu includes an array of options. First-course selections include lobster bisque, chicory salad, sweet potato gnocchi, tuna carpaccio and grilled sweetbreads. Next, choose your entree: smoked turkey roulade, black cod, roasted celery root, Colorado lamb saddle or dry-aged beef rib. Dessert may be the toughest decision of all: carrot cake, butternut squash pie or white apple cheesecake. Reserve a table on the website.

From 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 28, Apple Blossom will host a celebratory brunch featuring pumpkin French toast, golden beet salad, fall overnight oats and more à la carte dishes. The dinner menu, served from 2 to 9 p.m., will include a Thanksgiving special with classic holiday favorites. Chez Maggy at the Thompson Denver will offer a Thanksgiving feast from noon to 5 p.m. Start with maitake mushroom bisque or an autumn salad, followed by your choice of entree: butter-basted turkey breast, slow-roasted prime rib or herb-crusted salmon. Family-style sides will also be served, including mashed potatoes with gravy, herbed stuffing, brioche rolls and ​​green bean almondine. End the meal with a visit to the dessert bar, featuring pumpkin cheesecake, apple tarts, ginger shortbread cookies and more. Book seating for $85 per person via SevenRooms.

The three-course menu at this new addition to downtown begins with your choice of sweet potato bisque, brown sugar pork belly or a Southern-inspired salad. The main course follows — roasted and confit turkey with green beans and cornbread stuffing; seared salmon with butternut squash pirlou; an eight-ounce filet with potatoes and black garlic mushrooms; or acorn squash with a spiced bechamel sauce. Dessert options include a bourbon pecan bar, chocolate torte and pumpkin spice tart. This prix fixe meal costs $75 per adult and $30 per child under thirteen, and additional family-style sides can be purchased for $15 each. The Common Good

This Thanksgiving, pre-order a take-home package or visit the Common Good at the Benson Hotel. The restaurant will offer its full standard menu as well as holiday specials like butternut squash ravioli ($24) and mushroom-stuffed turkey roulade with molasses yams and crispy Brussels sprouts ($29). Complete the festive meal with a $9 slice of pumpkin cheesecake topped with salted caramel and cinnamon whip. Reservations can be made on OpenTable.

Corinne within the Le Méridien hotel will serve a special $36 Thanksgiving entree with your choice of bourbon-glazed ham, carved roasted turkey or seasoned tofurkey. Each main includes mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, a dinner roll and a fall vegetable salad. Additional sides like loaded potato casserole and classic mac and cheese can be ordered à la carte for $13 each. Named Westword readers’ favorite hotel restaurant, EDGE Restaurant & Bar within the Four Seasons will host a sumptuous dinner buffet starring peppercorn-crusted Colorado prime rib, roasted turkey with lemon sage chimichurri and lamb with cranberry demi-glace. Diners can also pile their plates with holiday classics like bourbon-glazed ham and sweet potato casserole, plus pumpkin pie cream puffs, chocolate bourbon pecan pie and other desserts. For the first time in its history, modern steakhouse Guard and Grace will be open on Thanksgiving. The Inverness

The Garden Terrace at the Inverness will host a bountiful Thanksgiving brunch with seating available between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Fill your plate with garlic and sage-roasted turkey, prime rib au jus, green bean casserole, chipotle mashed potatoes and herb stuffing. Breakfast classics will also be served from its omelet and waffle stations, and a fresh seafood tower will display mussels, smoked salmon, crab legs and more. Dairy Block’s Southwest-inspired restaurant Kachina Cantina will serve a special turkey plate on Thanksgiving priced at $35. It includes classic fixings like sweet potatoes, green beans, stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce, plus a French roll on the side. For an even larger feast, upgrade to its $52 three-course meal which includes all of the above, plus a salad and a slice of pumpkin pie.
