After overhauling the former Lizard's Bar & Grill space at 1920 Blake Street for the last month and a half, Hayter's & Co. officially opened today.

Mike Hayter and Mike Refling moved down from Bozeman, Montana, to start the sports bar with a bit of a throwback feel. Hanging on one wall are framed, enlarged baseball cards of players from the '70s and '80s, including Rollie Fingers, Pete Ladd and Bruce Sutter; the 6,200-square-foot space also sports Beer Ball, Super Shot and Buck Hunter games.

Hayter says they're easing into service with Rockies games today and tomorrow; once they get the staff and kitchen dialed in, they'll throw a grand opening.

But they already have their bar specials set: In addition to happy hour from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, Hayter's also has daily specials on drinks and food, with beer pong on Tuesday nights and service-industry night on Sundays.
