The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $25,000 by August 9.
The corner of 15th and Arapahoe streets downtown has been home to a number of restaurants over the years, most recently Prime Steakhouse and Le Chateau next door, which was once La Fondue. Prime and Le Chateau are both closed now, but there’s plenty of activity inside. There’s a sign in the window at Prime announcing that Reunion Gastro Pub & Wine Bar will soon open there.
Meanwhile, Le Chateau is being cleared out by a work crew, although nothing has been posted for future plans. The two spaces are connected, so the possibility exists that Reunion could occupy both addresses. The building has seen many changes over the years; Gallagher’s Steakhouse was a downtown favorite before being replaced by Hickory Prime Steakhouse, which then became simply Prime.
