Reader: Mercantile Dining & Provision Blows Me Away

Alex Seidel worked on his concept for Mercantile Dining & Provision for three years before he finally opening the combination restaurant/market/bar in the renovated Union Station in September. Gretchen Kurtz just reviewed Mercantile, and says it's a definite winner. Seidel's new place is three times as big as Fruition, the award-winning restaurant he opened on Sixth Avenue seven years ago. And according to one reader, it's even better.

Says WillieStortz;
Mercantile Dining has blown me away on three separate visits. I didn't think they would be able to keep up the food quality they established at Fruition but they have surpassed it.
Have you eaten at Mercantile? At Fruition since it reopened after a mini-renovation this month? Which do you like better?
