For nine years, Simply Sloppy Joes has been dishing up sloppy goodness in Lakewood. But when the last sandwich has been served up tomorrow, the business will close its doors for good.

Here's the posting on the Facebook page:

This is with a very heavy heart, I must tell you all, that I am closing Simply Sloppy Joes. I would never just leave in the middle of the night without announcing it to all of my loyal Joe fan's. I have no regrets, we have run an awesome business for almost nine years, but the time has come for this Entrepreneur to throw in the towel. I could never express how much you all have meant to me. I thank you all for the love and support you have shown to me and my little restaurant. We will be finishing off the year but uncertain of the next. I love and will miss you all!

Love and Laughter Always, Jennifer AKA "The Sloppy Joe Lady"

The space and equipment are available, but "I am not selling Joe, Joe comes with me!" she says. Find more details on the Simply Sloppy Joes Facebook page.

Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
