Don't waste time getting dressed this morning! Illy, which currently serves up coffee in more than 140 countries, will open the first free-standing illy Caffé in Colorado inside the Renaissance Denver Downtown City Center Hotel, and to celebrate the grand opening, illy will be offering complimentary drip coffee all day today. Not only but, but one lucky coffee connoisseur will win free coffee for a year.

For a chance to win, head to the caffe looking like you just rolled out of bed—think pajamas, slippers and bedhead—from 7 to 9 a.m. The three best looks will be captured by onsite photographers and posted to the Renaissance Denver Downtown at the Colorado National Bank Facebook page; fans will then vote by liking their favorite pre–coffee looks, and the photo with the most likes by 11:59 p.m. on January 21 will win one cup of drip coffee per day at illy’s for a year. Although there will be an outdoor spot, too, don't miss the chance to see the stunning renovation of the old Colorado National Bank building; the lobby is lovely, and just the place to sip a good cup of coffee...for a year.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
