Colorado was the first state to celebrate Columbus Day, and although the holiday has become controversial, the Italian-American community's contributions to this state remain undeniable. Chief among those contributions: some great restaurants with very long lives that are worth discovering, if you're not already a regular. Here are nine Italian-American eateries that have been serving pasta, red sauce and pizza for at least fifty years in metro Denver.
