Denver Food Lovers Slow Down for Slow Food Nations 2018

Slow Food Nations took over Larimer Square the weekend of July 13 to 15, 2018, with a mission to showcase local, traditional and responsibly produced food and the people behind it. Both Colorado ingredients and global fare were celebrated, with tastings, demos and panels covering honey, meats, cheeses, wine, sake, oysters, stone-ground corn tortillas, soul food, beans, and regional dishes from across America, just to name a few. With the country's culinary minds turned toward Denver, the city proved it can be one of the centers for change, sustainability and the preservation of traditional food ways — not to mention a destination for world-class food and beverages from Colorado chefs and artisans. Here's a look at a weekend of Slow Food.
