The responses continue to roll in to Andrew Kenney’s feature article on Stoner Hill, as well as to a previous Comment of the Day in which a reader called the location beautiful — a sharp contrast to those neighbors who deem it an eyesore.
The latest batch of opinions is roughly split down the middle.
Some folks sympathize with those who live near the Commons Park spot and are unhappy at the proliferation of young people hanging out there. Others see the positive side of the de facto communities that form in gentrification’s shadows.
The following post falls into the latter camp — and posits a theory about why Stoner Hill is disliked by so many.
