The past twelve months have been rather eventful for the Autumn Film. Last year, the act, formerly known as Tifah after its front woman, Tifah Al-Attas, changed its moniker, downsized its lineup, released an EP’s worth of material for free download and spent the bulk of the year on the road crisscrossing the country. In addition to the Grey EP, which has been downloaded more than 6,000 times, the outfit has sold over 8,000 copies of its previous disc, Safe & Sound.

In anticipation of its next release, the band plans to continue
offering free downloads through its Backstage giveaway program. The
first of those downloads, a brand new song called, “Always the Same,”
which was recorded at Immersive Studios in Boulder, will be made
available at the beginning of February, followed by a free show at
Moe’s Barbecue on Friday, February 27.

With all of that momentum, you’d be right to expect big things from the Autumn Film this year. As if on cue, we stumbled upon the clip below, which clearly seems to bolster this notion, that the band is going to be, ahem, big in 2009.
