Dressed In Layers

If winter clothing and technical mountaineering gear don't exactly scream "sexy" to you, let the hard-bodied models--male and female--in Neptune Mountaineering's first-ever winter fashion show, Neptune's Paradox: What's Hot for the Cold, tempt you into the backcountry to see what you've been missing. "We have nineteen models each doing two runway looks," says Bridgid Lupetin, a clothing buyer for the Boulder shop. "It should be a fun night. And there's free beer!"

But bring cash: Proceeds from tonight's raffle, donations and silent auction will benefit Paradox Sports, a Boulder-based nonprofit devoted to providing adaptive equipment and outdoor-sports opportunities for disabled individuals. Raffle tickets are $2 each or $10 for six, and the money goes toward Paradox Sports programs, which include "getting adaptive equipment and prosthetics to help even more people get outdoors and get involved in the sports and mountain activities we love," Lupetin says.

The show starts at 6 p.m. at Neptune, 633 South Broadway in Boulder. For more information, visit www.neptunemountaineering.com.
