Making Magick

“If you’re interested in the mysteries of the universe and the questions that people hold on the deeper issues, and you want to learn how you can apply these to your own life and transform your life, then this is the place to come,” says Oberon Zell, a keynote speaker for this season’s Celebration Metaphysical Fair.

Zell is one of the founders of modern-day paganism; he co-founded the Church of All Worlds, publishes the pagan magazine Green Egg and runs the online Grey School of Wizardry, offering education in arcane lore. So it’s a pretty big deal to have him leading “Real Magick for Personal Transformation” tomorrow and “Wizardry School: Restoring the Wonder” on Sunday.

“I’d like to give people an understanding of magic as not something out there and crazy, but essentially as probability enhancement,” says Zell. “Magic is working to shift the probabilities in the favor of their intention. And as we come to understand this better, we’ll have a much better way of shaping the world.”

The fair runs from 1 to 9 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the Denver Merchandise Mart, 451 East 58th Avenue; admission is $5, and Zell’s workshops are $20. Visit for event information and for more on Zell.
Fri., Sept. 3, 1-9 p.m.; Sat., Sept. 4, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sun., Sept. 5, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., 2010
