Gold, an attorney who relocated here about a year ago from San Diego, is talking about his Light Rail Flash Mob and Dance Party, which was inspired by a similar event he attended in San Francisco ― which, in turn, he notes, was probably inspired by the original Tube Parties in London in 2004: Theyd get on the train and just party until the Tube cops came and kicked them off. Now he wants to bring the impromptu dance-shindigs to us.
Heres his plan: Meet up tonight at the Dave & Busters at I-25 and Colorado Boulevard a little before 8 p.m. and walk over to the light-rail station to board the 8 p.m. F train downtown. Then the music starts and the dance party gets poppin ― all the way to 16th and California. All itll cost you is train fare and your bourgeois illusions, man.
Are you ready for this, Denver? If so, just show up ― and if youre really excited about it, Gold says he could use some help with the planning. E-mail him at [email protected].
