We've seen a few of these tracks already, as the mix is part of Sole's "rap as journalism" experiment, but this is the first time they've all been put together. Katy Perry, Clipse, Lupe Fiasco and others, and rap over them about contemporary topics.
Volume 2 includes a mass of guests on tracks like "Coke Rap," in which PIctureplane appears alongside Ceschi and Kool A.D., performing over samples of Katy Perry's "ET." It is, as you'd expect, a bit crazed, but it works surprisingly well. Greencarpetedstairs, meanwhile, pops in on "Bradley Manning Swag," where the two work over Rihanna's "Russian Roulette." Plenty of names big and small make appearances throughout the tracks, and while it's certainly a rough cut in a lot of respects, it's still well worth dipping into -- especially for free.
