Pink Floyd’s The Wall has sold over 19 million copies. In scope, sound and cultural impact, it is practically without peer in the history of American music. Its primary writer, Roger Waters, hasn’t made the cleanest of breaks from his old band: There was a nasty legal battle over the use of Floyd’s creative output, and it took 24 years for the group to play together again, during a one-off gig for Live 8. And while Pink Floyd looks to be gone forever, The Wall isn’t. Waters is performing his masterpiece in its entirety with a new backing band, and you can rest assured that it will be an unbelievable spectacle. It had better be, with tickets starting at $54 and moving from there into the triple digits. Hey, you can’t just keep getting comfortably numb on royalty checks forever.
