Just one of the many acts birthed in the last half-decade thanks to YouTube, thirteen-year-old Greyson Chance — due at the Gothic Theatre tonight with Cody Simpson and Camryn — could still be considered a bit of an anomaly in his own right. Unlike his pop contemporaries, the ‘tween’s adoration of legends like Elton John and John Lennon come through his passionate performances, both in front of and behind the piano.

Inspired by Lady Gaga (and made famous by school performance of “Paparazzi” that generated more than 38 million Internet views) the middle schooler seems to be ahead of his time. Already on his second national tour, Chance’s own single, “Waiting Outside The Lines,” was released late last year on Ellen Degeneres’ label, eleveneleven.
This show is all ages, and tickets are $17-22. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the concert starts at 7 p.m.
