Yoga is the quintessential exercise for tree-hugging, granola-munching types. But what’s the point of getting all in tune with your body and its connection to the earth if you’re doing it in a man-made room with no windows? The creators of Yoga in the Park felt you, and came up with the bright idea of hosting, um, yoga in the park. Stop by Cheesman Park, at Franklin Street and Eighth Avenue, today at 8, 9 or 11 a.m. for free yoga sessions and samples of Starbucks’ new green tea beverages; any donations will benefit Denver Urban Gardens. Call CorePower Yoga at 303-863-YOGA for more information. Feel the om.
Sun., May 6, 8, 9:30 & 11 a.m.

If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of Westword, now’s the time to give back.
