The beer and food experts at Euclid Hall had so much fun pairing small bites with rare and unusual beers in January during the restaurant’s Beer Month, that they’ve decided to continue the Brew Bites program through at least March.
Each Tuesday (except for the two during Restaurant Week on February 28 and March 6), Euclid will feature three bite-sized snacks, along with two-ounce pours of three beers that have been paired with the eats; it starts at 3 p.m. and runs $12.50.
Today’s pairings, featuring chocolate, fruit, and infused beers: Lindeman’s Pomme Lambic, Boulevard Brewing’s Chocolate Ale, and a rare Boulevard Brewing tripel.
An example of a previous paring included roasted beet and marshmallow ambrosia paired with Avery Brewings’s Lilikoi Mahu, a beer made with passion fruit; garlickly butter-poached mussels with Avery’s Immitus, a sour beer; and a sourdough mini waffle with walnuts and a fig and port reduction with Duchesse De Bourgogne, a wild red.
“We learned that our guests are ready for some really well-thought-out and approachable pairings,” Euclid Hall’s Ryan Conklin says about the success of the first month of Brew Bites. “They are really thirsty for hybrid beers, sour beers and hoppy one-off beers.”
Future themes are:
February 21: Sadie Hawkins (pairing beer to food)
March 13: Hard Ciders
March 20: West coast customs
March 27: Sessionables
