Now into its third decade, Sarah McLachlan’s career seems to be burning brighter than it has in a long time. The singer-songwriter was instrumental in bringing women to the forefront in the ’90s with her female artist-focused Lilith Fair tour, a festival that flourished at a pivotal time in popular music. It resurfaced last year, and though it suffered from lagging sales, McLachlan didn’t give up her quest for a level playing field for all.

Ever the philanthropist, the accomplished guitarist and pianist has also utilized her star power to back organizations like AIDS research foundation Red Hot and supported tsunami relief efforts. The Canadian performer may perhaps be best known for lending her voice and music to commecials for animal-welfare group ASPCA. Beyond her charitable work, McLachlan has released over a dozen live and studio albums, including last year’s Laws of Illusion, showcasing the varying range of her classically trained voice. This show is all-ages, and tickets are $28.50-$80.50. Doors open at 8 p.m.
