It’s no secret that we have a soft spot for the Rainbow Music Hall. We were deflated to discover that the iconic sign had been unceremoniously torn down but equally heartened to find that pieces of the sign had been salvaged and were subsequently put on display by the Twist & Shout crew. This afternoon, our spirits were lifted even more when we came across a post reflecting on the storied venue at BuckFifty.org, a site dedicated to highlighting 150 Denver-centric things. In particular, it was cool to see the flier from the Rainbow’s grand opening from January of 1979. If you have any photos or anecdotes from that era, please feel free to share them with us.
