Denver singer-songwriter Rachael Pollard has (thankfully) had more than her allotted fifteen minutes of fame around town over the past few years. But what the heck, here’s another fifteen seconds: In a report that aired yesterday on CBS4 News concerning the city’s proposed trash-collection fee, Pollard — identified by the station as Rachel [sic] Marcy [her married name] — is interviewed by reporter Terry Jessup, and she’s briefly allowed to give her views on this hot-button issue on camera: “It’s a necessity in the city,” says Pollard, “and it’s my trash.” Let’s here it for civic responsibility (not to mention Pollard’s always awesome music).
