Samantha Alviani’s rundown of Denver’s ten biggest hipster bars on Tuesday elicited more than a few memorable comments — read them all here — but this one from Carly brought down the hammer on what really constitutes a hipster bar:
“Crash 45 and Shag Lounge.
“As a Matchbox frequenter, the bartenders tend to be pretty hip, but the clientele is more on the patio ride/post-yoga class (from Qi next door) side.
“Also, Star Bar does not serve PBR so they are automatically disqualified.”
Because if you are what you drink, and the bar doesn’t serve PBR, you’re not a hipster.
