Art can be rad in all kinds of media, in all sorts of sizes. But Minikin Madness — Rad Art on Small Surfaces will showcase only the tiniest of artworks, all done on 3×3” surfaces.

“The idea is that you may be a fine artist, you may be a great artist, but once you have to go smaller with the surfaces, then the actual paintings or renderings or whatever media you’re using become a lot harder,” says Ian Robert McKown, who came up with the idea for the show that opens at 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 31 and runs through September 2 at Boxcar Gallery. Minikin Madness will feature more than 150 pieces from artists around the world; keep reading to see some of the works that will be featured.
