We came across this intriguing teaser for If You Want to Fly, from Carbondale-based Vital Films, Inc., while working on building out a mega-preview of all the many, many major ski and snowboard movie premiere events coming in September.
It will be the second full ski flick from the company, which is better known for its music videos and documentary projects, and it’s a refreshing take on good old-fashioned ski porn. Here’s a peek:

The film sticks close to home — why leave when you live near Aspen and you’re getting dumped on? — and features Aspen/Snowmass locals Matt Walker, Torin Yater-Wallace, Nick Devore, Charlie Lasser, Aidan Sheahan, Sean Jordan, Colt Hinch and Owen Leaper. It will get its official world premiere as the kickoff film at the IF3 International Freeski Film Festival in Montreal on September 15; after that it will be free for the taking, in full, as a free download at www.VitalFilms.com.
