Fiction writers from the highbrow literary world don’t always qualify as superstars, but T.C. Boyle would be an exception: His reckless flash, flamboyant persona and elegant turns of phrase demand that kind of attention. So it’s always news when Boyle comes to town for a book signing, even if the event is all the way up in Boulder: Love him or leave him, Boyle will be signing copies of his last two books — the novel The Women, which fictionalizes the life of Frank Lloyd Wright as seen by the women in it, and Wild Child, a new collection of short stories tinged by Boyle’s adopted milieu of Southern California — tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the upstairs ballroom of the Boulder Book Store, 1107 Pearl Street. Admission is free with the purchase of either book; otherwise, there is a charge of $5.
