But the DIY artist and his teammates may have topped themselves with OFM’s latest production, Demons in the Sky! “We’ve brought together a fantastic band and fantastic fight choreography,” says Crosier of Demons, which premieres tonight at the Oriental Theater. “We’ve expanded the performance with added projections, aerial acrobatics for visual accent and nuance, and two taiko drummers, Courtney and Keiko Ozaki of [local Japanese drum ensemble] Mirai Daiko. With all these elements combined, this performance is more epic than the bare-knuckled and gritty warehouse shows we’ve done in the past. We’re a B-movie Cirque du Soleil.”
Demons takes flight tonight at 7 p.m. at the Oriental, 4435 West 44th Avenue. Local music acts Little Fyodor and Itchy-O will open. Admission to the all-ages event is $8 in advance, $10 the day of the show. For tickets, visit www.theorientaltheater.com; for info, visit www.odamfeimud.com.
