The Westword Music Showcase will pour out the entertainment tomorrow from noon to midnight, with more than 150 acts filling an outdoor mainstage and over a dozen venues in the Golden Triangle.

But there’s also action between acts. In the Showcase’s live art area, nine in-the-minute local artists will be decorating those familiar red Westword boxes — the ones you usually see on street corners and in restaurant lobbies all over town — throughout the day, from opening to dusk.

What would you do with a Westword box? See the creative solutions of Jouvelt, Eric Matelski, Scot Lefavor, Tim Hamann, Maximilian Shiffman, Yeyo Mondragon, Steven Kuc, Mike Hornbeck and Annie Denison as they unfold on the west end of the outdoor stage area. The finished boxes will later be placed in public places for all to see (and stay tuned to find out more about that).

Find links to information about each artist and a complete music schedule at Westword online.
