Telluride adds night skiing in superpipe

Echo Mountain near Mt. Evans in the Front Range has long believed that offering park and pipe skiing — with night options — is a viable business model. To date, with the exception of Keystone, the bigger Colorado resorts have left night skiing alone. But last week, Telluride offered a night skiing option to their terrain. Sort of.

Unlike Keystone, Telluride didn’t string lights down several runs. The mountain constructed a new superpipe and terrain park right off Lift #2 above the Mountain Village. The superpipe is open during the day seven days a week, and at night from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Telluride offers night lift tickets for $25, and a night season pass for $200, or $150 if you already have a season pass to the resort.
