$20,000

Berlin producer Alex Krüger‘s first major impression on international dance floors was his 2000 hit “I Can’t (Fall in Love With Another One),” under his Dub Taylor alias — and he’s managed to stay cutting-edge relevant in the dozen years since he first helped shape Germany’s deep-house scene. The minimalist stylings and hypnotic production of Krüger (also known as Tigerskin and Korsakow and whatever other moniker he happens to be using) have earned him deserved accolades throughout the electronic-music world. It’s also fitting that his persona is somewhat fractured, because his brand of micro-house/experimental techno blends the best of many genres into a cohesive journey; despite his minimalism, Krüger’s layered melodies are arrestingly mesmerizing, crisp and clean. His U.S. tour will thankfully include a Colorado stop on Saturday, March 3, at 2200, courtesy of Mother Earth Sound System, CrowdPleaser and the 5270 Crew.
