Over the years, Govinda’s Buffet has been an on-again, off-again, on-again, all-you-can-eat weekend buffet for vegetarians and vegans — and now it’s back on again, in a big way, as Govinda’s Garden Cafe. It has the same address, 1400 Cherry Street, but a new look, a slightly newer name and new management.

Although the look and much of the menu is new, the philosophy behind the restaurant is the same. Here’s the description from the govinda’s website:
As a part of our ancient Vedic tradition, our mission is to offer fresh, natural, and organic vegetarian and vegan cuisine that promotes good health and elevates the consciousness. Everything we prepare is an offering to the Supreme – infused with love – Bhakti. In Sanskrit this means “loving service”. Bhakti Yoga is the yoga of love and devotion and the path we follow that serves to reconnect us with the divine and to reawaken the eternal blissful love that is within each of our hearts.
