“Part of the project is always getting to know your different clients, getting inside their heads,” says Sarah Semple Brown, who founded the design and architecture Semple Brown Design in the early ’80s and has been designing restaurant spaces ever since. “It’s like reality TV at its best.” And this season has seen some major restaurant ratings hit, since Semple Brown Design has worked on several of the hottest spots to open recently in LoDo. Along with project manager Leila Schwyhart, Semple Brown created the look of the new Squeaky Bean, as well as Denver’s version of the Kitchen; the team was also responsible for the design of Coohills.
And this fall, you’ll be able to see more of the firm’s work when Hapa Sushi opens an outpost in lower downtown.
But first, you can read more about Semple Brown’s designs on Denver when the full article, as well as an extensive slide show of the firm’s restaurant work, is posted here tomorrow.
