The Bonfils-Stanton Lecture Series at the Denver Botanic Gardens continues with “Local Flavors: Cooking and Eating From America’s Farmers’ Markets,” with author/chef Deborah Madison.

A tour of heirloom vegetables in the gardens at 5:15 p.m. and a Slow Food Denver tasting at 6 p.m. precede the lecture, which starts at 7. The Denver Botanic Gardens is located at 1005 York Street; admission is $20 to $30, or $110 to $140 for series tickets.
