Toby Flowers has spent the past couple of years decimating dance floors across the globe as DJ Demi. Considered by many to be one of the dance scene’s fastest rising stars, the British DJ’s dedication to straight-up house music and his knack for keeping a crowd moving for up to ten hours have landed him residencies from Ibiza to New York. In 2004, he received nominations for “Best Newcomer” and “Breakthrough DJ” at the annual Pacha and House Music awards, and his stock has continued to rise ever since. Demi’s production skills and slick releases — issued on his own imprint, Deeper Substance Records — have won the attention of old-school jocks such as Danny Teneglia, who invited the young jock to play with him in NYC and London. No DJ could ask for a better start to his career. In the midst of his first stateside tour, Demi makes his debut appearance in Denver this Saturday, May 20, at Vinyl.
