Summer is a great time for burgers, and Smashburger, the homegrown chain that started in Denver in 2007 and now spans the country, recently opened two more stores in the area: at 965 South Hover Street in Longmont and 8100 West Crestline Avenue in Littleton. That makes a total of 21 Smashburger locations in this state.

But not all burger chains are created equal. Colorado-based H Burger closed its Boulder location earlier this summer, and the downtown location on the 16th Street Mall shuttered at the end of July.
That leaves just the Little H Burger at 727 Colorado Boulevard.
