Don’t forget to tip the shoe shine boy! Security screeners at Denver International Airport threw the alarm Thursday afternoon when they discovered that an employee of Executive Shine had a .32 caliber gun inside his backpack.

Joseph Shaw was on his way to work shining shoes on the Concourse C and put his small black tote bag through the X-ray enhancement machine in the Main Terminal. According to police, TSA personnel saw the outline of the loaded revolver and two boxes of bullets at the bottom of Shaw’s bag.

Police arrested the eighteen-year-old and charged him with carrying a firearm into a faculty of public transportation. — Jared Jacang Maher
