Tavern Hospitality Group just broke ground on the project that will debut as Tavern Littleton in April 2011. Last year, THG owners Frank Schultz and Terry and Al Papay purchased a building and lot at 2589 West Main Street in the heart of the historic district, where they plan to double the size of the structure and add a major rooftop patio.

This will be the sixth Tavern in a group that already includes Tavern Uptown, Tavern Downtown (and the Cowboy Lounge next door), Tavern Lowry (and the Soiled Dove Underground), Tavern Tech Center and Tavern Wash Park. And THG isn’t stopping there.

Schultz is continuing work on the Tavern Congress Park, which will be taking over the former home of Neighborhood Flix at 2510 East Colfax Avenue, adding an outdoor patio and an event room. That project, too, is set for completion next year.

The company is also scouting spaces in Highland, and looking at another spot in the Ballpark neighborhood.
