Did you miss last call at Pete’s Monkey Bar? The Dead-centric spot at 717 East Colfax Avenue had “a fucking awesome run,” according to owner Pete Penzastadler, and closed after one final bash last night.
Westword photographer Nick Callaio was there; see the complete slide show here.
But while Pete’s Monkey is gone, monkeys are popping up on South Broadway.
Thai Monkey opened last summer at 102 South Broadway. And Bistro One, the restaurant at 1294 South Broadway that chef/owner Alex Waters closed in March, is being transformed into 3 Monkeys Cantina.
