Cops were called to CityPub, a watering hole at 3575 South Yosemite Street that’s a sibling of CityGrille, early Monday morning, on a report of a “large fight.” A fight that left one man dead, according to Denver Police spokesman Sonny Jackson. The death is being investigated as a homicide, as Michael Roberts reported yesterday.

If the report had come in from CityGrille’s neighborhood — that popular bar/restaurant is located at 321 East Colfax Avenue — it wouldn’t have been such a surprise. But South Yosemite?
