Four business partners have applied for a liquor license for a former carpet warehouse located behind Colorado Lace at 200 East Seventh Avenue. Aside from the cleaners, the large building is currently gutted inside.
The location is just a block from East Seventh Avenue’s restaurant row — a stretch that includes Mizuna, Bones, Benny’s, Lala’s, Govnr’s Park and Luca D’Italia.
And it’s just up the street from Racines, which built a new home on Sherman Street — complete with a parking garage, since parking is at a premium in this neighborhood — six years ago.
“We intend to open a craft beer and food tavern at that location,” says Robert Giaquinta, one of the partners, via e-mail. “We are currently looking for local residents/businesses to support us at our Liquor Board hearing on December 22nd.”
