On Sunday, September 21, Westword will host DISH, our twenty-first annual celebration of Denver’s dining and drinking scene. More than forty favorite restaurants of Westword writers and readers will be sampling dishes at DISH; Angelo’s Taverna will be back with a selection of oysters.

Angelo’s will be offering raw East Coast oysters and char-grilled West Coast oysters in a couple of varieties: with butter, pecorino romano and herbs and spices; with bacon and gorgonzola; and with chipotle bourbon butter, made with Breckenridge Bourbon.

And after you sample these oysters at DISH, you can enjoy them at Angelo’s, the Italian mainstay at 620 East Sixth Avenue that’s gotten a major upgrade from new owners…who added these oysters.

DISH 2015 runs from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 20 in Sculpture Park at the Denver Performing Arts Complex.
