A few weeks back, we shared figures from Coldwell Banker related to the ten most expensive places to buy a house in Colorado.
Number one on the list? Boulder, where the average price for a single-familiy house was said to be more than $1 million.
Unsurprisingly, real estate brokers in Boulder are pushing back against this estimate. In a Boulder Daily Camera article, representatives of Re/Max Boulder say the average price for a single-family home within Boulder’s city limits was actually a mere $722,853 in 2015, with the median cost even lower: $693,000.
And there are plenty of places priced for less — but landing one of them won’t be easy.
A visit to the Re/Max of Boulder website highlights dozens of properties in the $400,000 range or below. However, the overwhelming majority of them are already sold or under contract. Of approximately 200 listings, only four sported a status of either “pending” or “available.”
Included among them is the home seen at the top of this post, which is priced at $200,000.
Check out the residences below, and click on the price to check out the complete listing.
