“I feel extremely re-energized,” says Brandi Shigley, the entrepreneur behind Fashion Denver, which is celebrating its ten-year anniversary this year. And she’s planning big things for the Fall Fashion Market: Elevate, the newest version of the clothing-and-accessory showcase that Shigley throws on a semi-regular basis.

“We’re doing four fashion shows this year,” Shigley explains. “The first show is going to be about what you might wear on a Saturday morning, when you’re going to yoga or going out to brunch. Another show will be what you might wear to a high tea, and we’re going to have the Denver Tea Room doing tea and sandwiches for the show. One show is going to be exclusively a jewelry show. And the last show is going to be, what are you wearing out on the town?”

Putting themes on the runways is a good way to showcase designer versatility, Shigley notes, and she’s also flung open the doors to independent designers in the community. “About half the designers in this market have never done a fashion market before.”

The Fashion Denver Fall Market starts at 10 a.m. at Space Gallery, 400 Santa Fe Drive. The event will help benefit the non-profit organization Warren Village; admission is free, and attendees can learn more about Warren Village and donate trinkets to the accessory drive or money to the organization on-site. Visit fashiondenver.com for information.

Sun., Oct. 26, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., 2014
