If you’re going to do a haunted house a week after Halloween, it needs to be something pretty special. Last year, Bloodshed Deathbath Productions fused a film festival with a traditional haunted house for its post-holiday horror fest. This year the company went even weirder, bringing us the HorrorHouse Pinball Tournament of Death.
“I want it to be a different interactive experience, something unexpected every time,” explains Bloodshed Deathbath’s Ryan Policky. “It’ll be a night of complete weirdness. I want people to leave going, ‘What the hell?’”
Each room of the haunted house will contain a themed pinball machine, and visitors will compete for the highest cumulative score while ghosts, ghouls and assorted freaks interfere with their games. With pitfalls and scares designed by Policky and partner Daniel Crosier and brought to life by Monster Makeup FX and the one and only Serana Rose of the Showdevils, one thing is certain: This will be the wildest pinball tournament/haunted house you’ll ever experience.
The fun starts tonight at 8 p.m. at 3 Kings Tavern, 60 South Broadway. Tickets are $15 if you want to compete for cash prizes in the tournament, or $8 if you just want to witness the insanity. For tickets, visit 3kingstavern.com, or go to bloodsheddeathbath.com for more information.
